Mission Statement

Long Island Black Squirrel Project  FERN is working with two 5th grade classes at Eugene Auer Elementary School in the Middle Country School District to start mapping black squirrel populations across Long Island.  This exciting project has appeared in recent news articles.  If you are reporting a population of black squirrels in your area, please send information to abreisch@fern-li.org.
