Long Island Black Squirrel Project
FERN is working with two 5th grade classes at Eugene Auer Elementary
School in the Middle Country School District to start mapping black
squirrel populations across Long Island. This exciting project has
appeared in recent news articles. If you are reporting a
population of black squirrels in your area, please send information to
abreisch@fern-li.org. Thank
you very much for your interest in this project and please take a
moment to browse our website to learn about FERN and our other
projects.
